Dear WIG.ng!!!
Welcome to 2022!!! It feels so amazing to write this, considering how tough and blurry the past two years have been. Regardless, 2022 is the year to press on and push in to achieve major life goals.
While I do not intend to lecture anyone this year, I feel the need to mention that we are responsible for progress, in every aspect of our lives. Without venturing into anyone’s private space, I have a few practical suggestions which will assist advance our professional lives. I have also resorted to this guide, which has somewhat helped the trajectory of my career. These include the following:
- Set a realistic & professional target on what you desire to achieve;
- Choose a mentor or accountability partner to view your progress;
- Join a professional group;
- Take at least one major course yearly, to improve your professional reach and skills; and
- Measure your progress.
I believe these five items listed above would assist you to navigate your professional career, to set the ball rolling on the right course. Before the year began, I also planned and began the enrolment process to take a course that would add value to my career advantage in 2022. I really practice what I preach. If you decide to try out these suggestions, please write in to share your progress.
On another note, we have a few exciting things planned for 2022 and we cannot wait to share with you all.
